That in-engine confirmation matters more than it sounds. It means what you are looking at is the game's renderer rather than a pre-rendered cinematic, which is the difference between a trailer that indicates how the game looks and one that does not.

What it established: the cast

This is the trailer's real contribution. Rockstar published biographies for six supporting characters on its Only in Leonida page alongside it, and those bios remain the only official character information that exists.

The six characters revealed with Trailer 2.
CharacterRockstar's description, in short
Cal HamptonFriend of Jason's, listening in on Coast Guard communications. Casually paranoid.
Boobie IkeA local Vice City legend with an empire across real estate, a strip club and a recording studio.
Dre'Quan PriestAspiring music mogul running Only Raw Records. “More of a hustler than a gangster.”
Real DimezRap duo Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school, signed to Only Raw Records.
Raul BautistaA seasoned bank robber. Confident, charming, reckless.
Brian HederA drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. Runs a boat yard.

What it established: the state, not just the city

Trailer 1 was Vice City. Trailer 2 was Leonida — wetlands, coastline, small towns, highways. It is the trailer that made clear this is a game about a region with a city in it rather than a city game with a countryside attached.

Rockstar's Only in Leonida page, published alongside, named the regions that remain the only official geography: the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. All of them here.

The music

Five tracks have been identified by listeners in the two numbered trailers: Love Is a Long Road by Tom Petty in the first — the one song confirmed by a rights holder — plus Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters, Everybody Have Fun Tonight by Wang Chung, Talkin' to Myself Again by Tammy Wynette and Child Support by Zenglen.

Identified, not confirmed, and a trailer licence is not a game licence. The full picture on music.
