About SixCodex
An independent site tracking Grand Theft Auto VI, run by one person, with a single editorial rule that everything else follows from.
Who runs this
SixCodex is written and maintained by Eros Pardal. It is an independent project, not a company and not a publication with a newsroom behind it.
I am not a games journalist, I have no industry contacts, and I have no access to anything you do not have access to. What this site offers is not inside information — it is discipline about the difference between what has been confirmed and what has not.
The site exists because I wanted to follow this game properly and found that almost nowhere would tell me plainly which parts were actually known. So I built the thing I wanted to read.
The one rule
Every claim is labelled, and the label is honest.
- Confirmed — Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive said it, or it appears on an official storefront listing. The source is linked.
- Unconfirmed — somebody else said it. The page says who, and how much weight that carries.
- No word — Rockstar has never addressed it. This is not the same as a denial, and this site does not treat it as one.
The discipline that costs something is the third category. It is always tempting to fill a gap with a reasonable assumption, and every time this site declines to do that it loses a little traffic to a site that did. That trade is the point.
What this site will not do
- Republish leaked material. Leaks are reported here as events. They are not hosted, embedded, linked to, or laid out as product information. The reasoning is here.
- Invent numbers. No map sizes in square miles, no install sizes, no PC release dates. If Rockstar has not published a figure, this site does not have one either.
- Pass off an assumption as a fact, however reasonable the assumption.
Corrections
This site is about an unreleased game and it will get things wrong. When that happens the page is corrected in the open, with a note, rather than quietly edited. If you spot an error, tell me — a correction is more useful to me than to you.
How it is paid for
Display advertising. No affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no paid placements. Nobody pays to be written about here, and nothing on this site earns a commission on what it recommends. Full editorial policy.
