Every Song in the GTA 6 Footage

Nineteen tracks identified across three official videos, and exactly one of them confirmed by a rights holder. Here is the list, and the distinction that most “confirmed soundtrack” pages quietly skip.

Last checked: September 11, 2026 Status: Pre-release

Read this before the list. Rockstar has not announced a soundtrack, has not announced a single radio station, and has not published a track list. Everything below is music that listeners identified in official footage. A song used in a trailer is licensed for that trailer — it does not follow that it is licensed for the game, and historically not all of them are. Pages headed “confirmed GTA 6 songs” are, almost without exception, using the word confirmed to mean “somebody recognised it”.

The one that is actually confirmed

  • Confirmed

Love Is a Long Road — Tom Petty, from Full Moon Fever. Used in Trailer 1. Confirmed publicly by Tom Petty's own estate rather than identified by ear.

That is the entire confirmed list. Everything below it is identification, not confirmation.

Identified in An Extended Look

The 26-minute gameplay presentation carried considerably more music, and the range of it is the interesting part — eighties pop sitting next to contemporary rap, konpa next to dembow.

Why the distinction matters more than usual here

Grand Theft Auto soundtracks have a specific problem that other games do not: music licences expire. Tracks have been removed from earlier GTA games years after release when licensing periods ran out, which is why some songs in GTA IV and GTA V are no longer in the versions on sale today.

So even a genuinely licensed song is licensed for a term. A list of “songs in GTA 6” is a snapshot at best, and a trailer track list is not even that.

Radio stations

  • No word

Any radio station name. Rockstar has not announced a single one. Station names circulating online are from the 2022 leak or from speculation.

What the music choices suggest about the setting

This is inference and labelled as such, but it is worth stating: the identified tracks span roughly forty years and several distinct communities — classic rock, eighties synth-pop, country, Haitian konpa, Dominican dembow, contemporary Southern rap. That range is consistent with what Rob Nelson told Famitsu about the setting: “Modern-day Florida and Miami have an enormous variety of people, lifestyles and areas.”

It is not evidence of anything specific about the radio. It is a reasonable reading of a deliberate choice.
