Stephen Root Says He Is in GTA VI. Rockstar Reportedly Reminds Everyone Else to Stay Quiet
The first recognisable name to say out loud that he is in Grand Theft Auto VI is character actor Stephen Root. What followed, if the reporting is right, tells us when the rest of the cast will be revealed.

The reported reminder
According to the GTAVIclock podcast, cited by Insider Gaming and GamesRadar+, Rockstar contacted its voice and performance cast with this message: “We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.”
We have not seen the message and Rockstar has not confirmed it. If it is accurate, it means the cast list — including who plays Jason and Lucia — stays officially unannounced until launch day.
Who Stephen Root is
A long-running character actor known for Barry, King of the Hill and Get Out. Fans had already linked his voice to a character in the trailers before he spoke about it.
