GTA 6 Pre-Orders Open: $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate

Pre-orders went live on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox and Microsoft Store and at selected retailers. The detail worth knowing is buried in Rockstar’s own wording about upgrades.

Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026 at midnight local time, across the PlayStation Store, the Xbox and Microsoft Store, and selected physical retailers.

The two editions

  • Standard Edition — $79.99. The game.
  • Ultimate Edition — $99.99. Adds vehicles including a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and a '95 Grotti Cheetah, the Paradise Garage, two customisation shops, classic car restoration missions, a Shitzu Squalo boat, personalised weapon variants, clothing stores and salons, and more than 50 tattoos designed by the art collective FAILE.

The Vintage Vice City Pack

Included with every pre-order regardless of edition: a '55 Vapid Stanier and the Shore Court Garage, two Vice City outfits for Jason and Lucia, and an exclusive tropical weapon pattern. Available with digital purchases through 20 November 2026 — the day after launch — and with physical pre-orders while stocks last.

The line that actually matters

From Rockstar's own pre-order materials: the Ultimate Edition content “will be made available to buyers of the Standard Edition with an upgrade package able to be purchased separately”.

In other words the $20 decision is reversible. If you are undecided, the Standard Edition carries less risk, because you are not locked out of anything permanently. Rockstar has not announced what the upgrade will cost.

Other dates from the announcement

Digital pre-loading is listed as opening on 12 November 2026. Rockstar still has not published an install size, which makes that date less useful than it sounds.
