The $400 GTA VI Collector's Box — and the Game Is Not in It
Rockstar has opened pre-orders for a premium collector's box, The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. It is merchandise only: the game is sold separately.
The box does not contain Grand Theft Auto VI. If you want the game, you need to buy the Standard or Ultimate Edition separately. Rockstar does not advertise the box as including the game.
Price and availability
- Price: $399.99 / £349.99.
- Where: the Rockstar Games Store only, described as “very limited stock” and “while supplies last”.
- Date: reported as 19 November 2026, launch day. Shipping times by region: no word beyond the store listing.
What is in the box
Much of the contents is themed around Macca the Gator, a TV show inside the game's world.
| # | Item |
|---|---|
| 1 | Macca the Gator figure (6-inch, with stash compartment) |
| 2 | Oakley Frogskins sunglasses (Prizm Sapphire lenses) |
| 3 | Leonida Keys crossbody bag |
| 4 | New Era 9FORTY snapback hat |
| 5 | Macca the Gator magnetic mirror |
| 6 | Chunkee the Manatee shot glass |
| 7 | Vice City collectible swizzle spoon |
| 8 | Vice City razor blade keychain |
| 9 | Leonida Keys enamel pin set |
| 10 | Leonida Keys sticker pack |
| 11 | Double-sided souvenir poster with Leonida map |
Is it worth it?
That depends entirely on whether you want the objects. What the box is not is a collector's edition of the game in the usual sense: there is no disc, no code and no in-game content listed. Rockstar did something similar with Red Dead Redemption 2's collector's box. If you are choosing between this and the game, the pre-order guide is the page you want.
